EAG FLASHBACK UPDATE [25.06.05, PA]
Troops,
We are now about 6 weeks away from the registration deadline for our first presentation of Flashback and I wanted to give everyone an update as to current developments regarding the event.
REGISTRATION REMINDER
Please note that you are not registered if you have submitted the registration form but have not yet paid the registration fee. You are not guaranteed a spot at the SIMULATION until we have received your registration fee.
Individuals who have submitted the registration form but have not paid the registration fee include:
Will Sentman - Team SOCOM
Mike Gray - Team SOCOM
Cyrus Bingaman
Andrew Bustin
Daniel H. Ferguson - r
Jonathan Washburn
Drew Workman
Rick Trevino - CTU
Chris Lepore - CTU
Josh Kleese
Michael J Culler II - r
Eric Thrush - Razor's Edge
Jack Bowers - Razor's Edge
Phoenix Mercenaries
ROSTER UPDATED
The rosters have been updated to show individuals who filled out the registration form. A red asterisk (*) indicates the participant's attendance is confirmed through payment of the registration fee. All slots bearing a name without an asterisk are still up for grabs for those who have paid the registration fee.
Once again, the initial response to the announcement of the event has been significantly positive, with well over 50 players/team representatives communicating their intentions to attend. If you are planning to attend and your name is not on the roster, please fill out the registration form and we'll add you. This way everyone will know that you are intending to attend and can plan accordingly. If your name is on the roster and you no longer intend to attend, please also let us know so we can remove your name.
DISCUSSION BOARDS
The general area of the Flashback discussion boards can be accessed at anytime by anyone wanting to discuss any aspect of the simulation. The passwords for the restricted areas of the discussion boards will be released once the rosters are finalized.
SPONSORS ADDED
RamRod Airsoft has been added as a sponsor of all three presentations of Flashback. They have generously donated (5) $15 gift certificates for each presentation.
Paul at RedWolf has contacted me and assured me that RedWolf will be sponsoring the first presentation of Flashback. No word on what they intend to donate as of yet.
If your business or organization is interested in sponsoring Flashback, please contact us for details.
Its important that people that intend to attend get the registration form and fee in as soon as possible. Some potential sponsors can understandably be leery to donate raffle prizes to events that have low registration numbers. We have received dozens of e-mails from players with intentions to attend, but we want something more solid to show to potential sponsors. If you are planning to attend, please get your registration form and fees in as soon as possible, cool raffle items could depend on it!
VENDORS
We would like to have a sponsor/vendors area. Anyone who is interested in being a vendor or sponsor should contact us for details.
RENTAL ARSENAL UPDATED
After almost three years of hard use, our M4A1 rental fleet has finally been retired. Taking their place - ten (10) brand new Tokyo Mauri Beita-Spetsnaz AKs, featuring a newly designed Hi-Capacity magazine that is actually shorter than the standard AK magazine. We'd like to thank all of our rental customers for their patience and support and invite them back to try the new weaponry!
USED RENTAL ARSENAL FOR SALE
We are now offering for sale ten (10) TM M4A1s and one (1) ICS M4A1 formerly part of our rental fleet. The TM M4s were recently outfitted with G&P metal receivers, new hop up units and new stock springs and pistons in May of last year. Since the upgraded metal bodies are worth $130 alone, we're asking between $175-$200 per piece depending on condition. Used mini batteries are also available for $10 each and used high cap mags are available for $20 each. Please let us know if you're interested.
25 JUNE FLASHBACK PARKING/CAMPING INFORMATION
There will be no crop field space available to us for parking and camping for the the June presentation of Flashback. A limited amount of camping/parking space will be available in the area along the road that runs the eastern bound of what used to be AREA HOTEL. This problem is unfortunate, but together we can adapt, improvise and overcome. In keeping with this, please note the following:
The parking attendant is your friend - please work with him to get your vehicle parked.
All camping on site should definitely be considered PRIMITIVE CAMPING, please plan accordingly.
Be advised we may eventually have to resort to having attendees clear their own area and set up camp in the wooded area that runs along the parking area, please plan accordingly.
OK troops, that's it for now. Let me know if anyone has any questions or concerns.
If you are planning to attend, get those registration fees in! Higher attendance is more appealing to other players and sponsors alike...
