These are the rules for the usage of PAairsoft.proboards18.com. We will update this set of rules when ever we see necessary, any updates will be reported in some way. Maybe it will be a seperate post in this one, or an update on the front page. If it is an important update we may e-mail all members. But you will be alerted.
The purpose of these rules are to keep this site informative, appropriate, and fun for everyone no matter what age or experience level.
Now some concern that some of these rules violate your free speech. This is a private forum, so you must follow all rules shown here. If you refuse to follow the rules, then please leave PAairsoft now. All our rules are designed for speciffic goals to benefit the site. We will be limiting and regulating what you say in order to be appropriate to all ages, on topic, and to be informative and beneficial.
The Rules: Forums
1. PAairsoft reserves the right to delete, move, edit or lock any topics and/or replies when the moderators deem necessary.
2. Any topic or reply that contains racist, sexist, or abusive language will be deleted on sight and the author will be punished accordingly.
3. The reply "Do a search" is off limits to all regular members. Moderators will take care of it if necessary. If you would like to notify a mod of such a post, then please PM or E-mail them.
Why? Well this causes a lot of trouble. If you as a member tell someone to do a search then you are subject to punishment. The reason we only allow moderators to do this is because members tend to abuse this and cause a lot of flaming. Moderators will tell anyone we see necessary to do a search, but there is not any reason for you to do it. The mods will take care of the moderating.
Another reason is because we as moderators would like to give newbies to the site a little slack. We will let them know to do a search and warn them. We will be able to track what they are doing and punish them if they continuously ignore the search tool. If we let members say do a search, then they could flame some newbie who doesn't know any better, not even giving him a chance. I know some of you are saying "Whats wrong with that "... Well we were all newbies once in our lives.
If you would like to let the mods know that they should have done a search, simply do the search yourself and report the results to the person showing both him and the mods that these topics have already been discussed.
4. Any topic that is repetitive or deemed repetitive will be deleted on sight. Please entitle your post appropriately to help cut down on confusion and make for a better search of the forums.
5. No posting of pornography, links to pornography or any such items that may be offensive or vulgar. This is subject to immediate banning without warning.
6. No posting of "For Sale", "Want To Buy" or "Want To Trade" topics in any forum or at any other area of PAAirsoft . There is to be no buying or selling arrangements done on this site. That is to be done at other sites, or through personal E-mails.
We do not want scammers at our site, so if we don't give them a place to buy/sell they won't come here and cause trouble for our staff.
7. PAairsoft reserves the right to ban, demote, or punish any member that is deemed to be abusive.
8. Please do not post praises or comments about "retailers" in any other forum, then the "Airsoft Retailers" forum that is one of the reasons it is there for.
9. Please do not post complaints about any Moderator in the forums, all complaints must be e-mailed to Benbosa@myrealbox.com (cheeseball) for consideration. If you have a problem with cheeseball send complaints to another mod. If you actually do that you are an idiot since cheeseball has complete control of the site.
10. Report all forum abuse and any abusive member to the "Forum Abuse" forum. From there moderators will consider. Starting a fight in a forum (or flaming someone) is subject to punishment.
11. Posting is not allowed in topics, after they have not been posted in, in 3 weeks, or 21 days. You may not post to relocate, or "bump" the topic, unless the question has not been answered, and it is a legitimate question. Bumping is where you post just so that the topic will go to the top of list, for more people to see it.
There are exceptions to this rule however. If a topic question has not been answered, you may answer it. If topic answer contains a crucial mistake, you may correct it by adding in your opinion. If the topic is a general question out of interest, you may post in them (i.e. What's your favorite gun? What's your favorite War Movie? What is your longest battle? etc.) If you can add something crucial to the post, then do it.
12. Any members that post any stories regarding airsoft, the manner in which they play airsoft or use any airsoft replica that shows airsoft in a bad image, as to bring unwanted attention to the sport/hobby. This is to include showing airsoft in a negative way and showing any signs of disrespect, unsafe play or use of an airsoft replica. Then that member or members will be subject to immediate punishment, to include the removal of their account membership and banning.
The Rules: Outside the Forums
1. You may only have one account at PAairsoft. You may not make a different name under a different E-mail. If you can't log into you'r current one contact the site at Benbosa@myrealbox.com and don't make a second.
2. Nothing pointless or inappropriate is to be submitted as a video, image, link, comment, review, news, etc.
3. There is to be no buying or selling arrangements done on this site. That is to be done at other sites, or through personal E-mails. (yes its in here twice since we have other places to make a sale, and its off limites everywhere here). Selling through Private Messages is not allowed.
4. Abuse using the private messages is not allowed. The private messages (thanks to a little modification) are no longer private. Moderators can now view all private messages. It may be defeating the 'Private' part but we can't have people abusing one another or making sales through PM's. All rules that are in the forums apply to PM's.
Moderator Conduct
I made some rules for the mods, so people can make a good case if they feel a mod is abusing their rights.
1. A mod must warn a member before punishment on minor offences. On major offences the moderators reserve the right to do whatever they please.
The Admin (cheeseball) determines whether or not they are minor or major. Examples of major are spraying pornography, excessive foul language, excessive pointless, off topic, or innaprotpriate posts, and showing obvious ignorance of laws, or shows irresponsibilities, that endanger airsoft as a legal sport.
2. A moderator must alert a member of any punishment that they put on someone.
3. A moderator is responsible, and should do their best to stop any fighting (flaming), in a forum. The only exception is if the person being flamed endangers the legality of the sport of airsoft. In that case it is the duty of every airsofter to drive that person out this site, and out of this sport, by making fun of him, his mom, his dog, etc. (for suggestions ask cheeseball)
4. A moderator must be working for the following goals;
- To keep a forum on topic
- To keep a forum appropriate, and exceptable for anyone over the age or the exact age of 13 to read. (we are rated PG-13 here, but you still can't drop the F-bomb. People under 13 are still allowed here, but we won't adjust ourselves to suit you)
- To keep the forums at an appropriate size with a low amount of topics that have similar to exact topics, with in a close time period.
- To keep the forums informative
- To promote the sport and community of airsoft, and to support any rule abiding member of this community.
5. Innocent until proven guilty (or said to be guilty by cheeseball)
Now there was joking around in here, but these are the rules and don't take them lightly. Feel free to suggest rules in this topic. This post would be editted if we change any rules.
